*********************************

The park ranger was on a trail he has never been on before. It was not marked on any maps but he has come across those before. The one seemed to run along the eastern side of the edge of the park. He was hoping to get back on one of the main trails soon so he can find a hut for the night before it gets too dark.

He scrambled up the small rise after pushing past some small bushes he found his way into a small clearing overlooking the mountain range. He could see the rough waters crashing on the rocks far below him. Across from that was rolling hill after rolling hill. The trees had started turning colors. The brilliant reds, oranges and yellows along the backdrop of the green pine trees.

He looked around and found what looked to be a small one room. It was old and in need of repairs but very charming. A shallow overhang was in the front of the structure. Hanging from the posts were upside down dried flowers and other plants hanging in their pots. There is a small table with chairs close to a cold fire pit.

He placed his backpack down and called to see if anyone was around. As he did he walked the small clearing. The evergreen trees sheltered the grove pretty well.
