Chapter 8: The Voyeurs

Ricky and his mom had just finished clearing out the kitchen after supper. They were settled comfortably on the couch with the Sexual Health book on mom’s lap, not yet opened. They were chit chatting about the upcoming school year and what classes Ricky wanted to take. Soon they would continue their lessons on sex – and then what? Ricky and his mother had their first love making session and there were indications that there would be more to come.

Ricky was a bright boy, but he attributed his good grades to his study partner, Lacey. Mom liked Lacey a lot. Lacey and Ricky had been friends since they were both little tykes. She had never thought of them as a romantic couple until Ricky revealed his feelings for her just last night.

Lacey’s family were close neighbors. They owned a small farm and mom knew that Ricky had built a treehouse on their property near the creek. Ricky was taking care of the livestock on Lacey’s farm while their family was gone on an extended vacation. She wasn’t sure how far Ricky and Lacey were in their relationship, but Ricky had admitted that they had been experimenting, sexually. She was surprised by how much knowledge and skill her son exhibited, sexually, with a woman’s body. But Ricky claimed that Lacey was still a virgin. She did not think he would lie to her.

Ricky’s phone rang. Ricky looked at his mom, then picked up his phone, “Hello”, he said. “Hi, Ricky, Lacey here. What you doing?” Lacey’s voice was was tinged with excitement. Ricky looked at his mom like he wasn’t sure how to answer, “Mom and I were about to do some, eh, studying”. Ricky gulped. “You gotta come over to my house, quickly.” Lacey almost gasped the words. “I have a surprise for you that I know you will love! Make it quick!” and just like that she hung up.

Ricky put down the phone slowly and looked at his mother, a little disappointed. “That was Lacey”, he said. He was torn. He had been looking forward to this evening all day. He was sure he would get lucky again tonight. He had shot his load so quickly last time, and he was determined not to do that again. On the other hand, Lacey sounded so excited. What on earth could she have up her sleeve? Or maybe it has something to do with what was up her skirt!

“Yes, I think I heard everything, Mom said with a smile. That is something I wanted to talk with you about. First, do you remember our lesson last night about birth control?” She asked. Actually, that was something Ricky had wondered about, pertaining to him and his mom and their sexual encounter. He was confident his mom would know how to handle it, because they had not used protection. He had briefly wondered what would happen if mom got pregnant. He would be the father of his brother or sister. That was too messed up to contemplate. He nodded. “I called Dr Ratcliff today and he called in a pre***********ion for the ‘Plan B’ pill, which I took.” Ricky nodded and grinned, feeling more relief than what he would have admitted. “I want to get on regular birth control, but the Doctor wants to see me first, and I can’t get in until Friday.

“We could use a condom,” she continued, “but there is something else. I don’t want our relationship to affect your development, as a man.” She said with concern. “Sex is such a powerful motivator. We must not let it get control of our lives. You need to have normal, healthy relationships with others, especially other females. And not just your mom.” I looked down, thoughtfully. It dawned on me that I might not get laid tonight, after all. “Don’t look so glum, Ricky. I am not saying we shouldn’t have more sex. On the contrary, I am looking forward to it! Are you?” She took my arm and smiled as she looked into my face. I nodded vigorously. Looking up into her dark blue eyes, she winked, playfully. “I think you should go and spend time with Lacey this evening. We can work on our lessons, and other things, later. There will be plenty of time for us later.” She said. I smiled. “Thanks mom. You’re the best!” I said.

I gave mom a chaste kiss and stood to go out, wondering what had Lacey so excited. “Wait a minute, young man,” mom said with a tone of mock sternness in her voice. “You should take one of these with you.” She opened the back cover of the sex book where she had inserted some condoms. “In fact, you should probably take two of them,” she said with a little laugh. Did I detect just a hint of jealousy in her voice? He put the condoms in his wallet and raced out the door.
