The Great O Race

Karen grunted as she worked through her last set, dropping the weight with a triumphant slam as she exceeded her target rep range. She was two years removed from her Freshman Fifteen entrance into college, and had quietly worked her way into tremendous shape as she finished up her junior year at college. Karen was about 5’1”, with black hair and piercing blue eyes. Her arms had become quite toned during her pursuit of fitness, though she had managed to stop shy of the overly muscular look that frightened her so much. Her stomach was flat with the slightest hint of abs, and her legs were strong with some sexy quad definition. And, of course, her butt has become the envy of all, and the desire of most guys around her. As she worked her butt into a bigger and rounder shape, her swimsuits became more and more showy, to the point she was barely avoiding the g-string backs at the local stores. But, if you’ve got it, flaunt it, right? She had worked tirelessly for her body, and she was proud of it.

Unfortunately, Karen also had a negative, more mental aspect from so much exercise. She had created such a desirable body that she didn’t think any guy was worthy of her. When she met a nice, average guy, she felt that she deserved someone closer to a “10.” And, when she met a more jerky, handsome individual, she figured he just wanted her for sex, and stopped any situation before it could head down that road. The result was a lack of a solid relationship for over a year now, and required many nights alone in her bedroom with one toy or another. Still, she couldn’t find a balance between her sex drive and finding a suitable partner.

Besides, a lot of her time was now being consumed by different competitions. She had gotten into the occasional marathon, mud run, and anything else that could challenge her stamina. So, when she noticed a sheet on the gym’s bulletin board, she couldn’t help but be intrigued.

“The Great O Race” Karen read aloud. “Challenge your endurance unlike any race you’ve ever come across. Start time: 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning at The L Park.”

Despite the lack of major details, Karen was still drawn to the image of a woman flexing on top of a podium. She had improved in her races, but still not enough to medal in anything. Perhaps something like this, without a lot of details, would keep the playing field low. Plus, she had been taking her training to a new level, and thought she could compete with the best of them.

She decided she would give things a shot, spending the rest of her week training hard, but not so much so as to wear her out before the big day. Her memories went back to the race she had in the bag, until the last quarter, when all her training caught up with her, and she faded fast.

Karen took extra care to hydrate herself and get a good night’s sleep before the day of the race. Then, she set off for L Park, which was within walking distance of her dorm. She dressed in a blue sports bra and tiny pink compression shorts, with a loose fitting athletic top over. She thought this outfit would allow her to deal with whatever type of course she wound up facing.

As she approached the park, Karen had increasing butterflies in her stomach. She wrote things off as nerves about the race, even though something didn’t feel right. But, she approached what appeared to be an official table, and a little of the nervousness subsided.

“Just sign up here and we’ll get you ready to go” the young man said. He was dressed in a hoodie and athletic pants.

“What kind of race is this exactly?” Karen asked as she signed her papers.

“I promise you, it’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced” the man responded. “It’s so out there that we can’t even let you see the course until the race starts.”

“Seriously?” she asked, as he handed her a blindfold. “I don’t know about this,” she continued, reconsidering, but then she noticed the girl on the podium again. Finally, she relented, and put on the blindfold.

“I’ll lead you to the starting area” he said, grabbing her hand lightly and leading her off. Karen couldn’t see that they were quickly heading away from the park. They exited L Park grounds and started down a sidewalk heading towards a less populated part of town.

“How far away is this race?” she asked, again getting more unsure about things.

“Not too much more” he reassured, as they went down an alley way and through a missing part of a fence. Finally, they approached the intended building, and the man was careful to lead her inside without calling too much attention to what was going on.

“And…good luck” he said, giving Karen a push, sending her down a slide that had been set up in an abandoned warehouse. She screamed as she felt herself zipping along forward, managing to pull the blindfold off in time to see she was descending down a dark area.
