At 24 I had finally done it, and I was really happy.

I was finally out of college and finished with all the debt I was racking up to pay my way through my studies and was now fully qualified and on my way to becoming a teacher.

 All I needed now was a first work experience and I could start getting on with my life and so eagerly I started looking for my first job. An hour later they had answered and after a back and forth by email they sent me an online test as a first interview. All seemed to go well and they phoned me back to tell me that I had the job. The only problem for them was that it started in two weeks. They hoped I could free myself up that rapidly and to be honest with the money they were going to pay me I was happy to oblige.

 The only thing that struck me as strange was that I still had no address for the school, just a meeting point at a train station where they assured me they would pick me up. I had asked several times but they had managed to avoid answering every time.

The day before I was supposed to start I nervously jumped in a train and headed to the meeting point letting them know when I would arrive. 

There was a car waiting to pick me up and bring me to the school, but the driver didn’t know anything other than the address he was supposed to take me to . As we got closer I noticed the school was situated in some very nice countryside in the middle of nowhere, we drive along what seems like a never ending wall until we get to the gates and the driver takes me up a wandering driveway until we reach the school.

 It is a massive building with several other out buildings on the side. I step out of the car and grab my things and I’m greeted by a well dressed middle aged woman, she introduces herself as the school director and starts to explain need for all the secrecy. It is a private all girls school for very elite families, a sort of finishing school for rich families to send their daughters after school but before college.

When she finishes showing me around the school and explaining the situation here I am shown my lodgings, it is a small house out by side of main building which is massive, on the other side there is brand new sport complex.

I am to be a history, geography and philosophy teacher, but there are not many students, around 50, or so therefore there are not many teachers as most have several posts. 

There is however a strict no enter/exit even during most week-ends but I am fully lodged and catered for, I can use the sport facilities and can ask for excptional leave for week-end when I want. It is saturday and I take the week-end to settle in.

I cannot help but see the girls arriving sunday, they are all dropped off in very fancy cars with several suitcases and I can see them all head to the main building . I have been told that they all stay in dorms above school. I am actually quite excited to start classes monday.

I realise on Monday morning in my first class just how much this year is going to be difficult.
