A few years ago when our business was expanding we used to receive, bottles of wine, scotch and bourbon. In due course as our business revenue increased the bottles became cartons. Lunches became lavish dinners.

One day in our office the female representative of one our suppliers told us we were a very important client of her company, before she asked us if she could offer us some special non-monetary benefits. She pulled a lap top out of her carry bag before she smiled, “We are all aware of the rules regarding kickbacks in our industry. Can I show you some special non-monetary benefits our company would like to offer you?”

Mike and me couldn’t say no after we slowly scanned through the images on the lap top. Each page a professional, colour photograph of an almost naked couple. Both of us looking closely at the images.
