“The stories and mass media coverage of the “End of The World Theory” peaked last year but then suddenly declined after that fateful date of 12/22/2012. Why? I have a little theory of my own you see. I believe that the end of the world is NOT going to happen at all. People have believed these prophecies all through out history. Why should this date be no different? Its ignorant people believing the government, the media, and such that have fueled this “Dooms Day Culture”. I am not one of those people, in the least.”

“And why is that Dr. Brassion?”

“Because there is no reason that the world will end. The Free World is still free. The polar caps are still frozen. Global warming hasn’t affected us any where people thought it would. The nuclear threat from Russia, China, Korea, Iran hasn’t been in the headlines at all last year. The world is FINE. Totally fine….”

“We certainly hope so. Thank you Dr. Brassion for putting our viewers minds at ease. Im Jeff Wilson for CNBS News, signing off.”

What Dr. Brassion didn’t know is that the world had already ended, in the most subtle way possible. The virus had already become an epidemic that affected about 70% of the population before it was even discovered. By the time a vaccine was synthesized about 98% of the population was affected and about 80% were in the final stages of the virus. The last few who were vaccinated were captured by the major Governments of the world and put to use repopulating the world…this is one such very lucky man.

February 12th, 2017

My name is Jon Bartnet and I have to say I live a pretty normal life. I’m ‘5”11, 170 lbs. and built ok. Brown hair and hazel eyes seem to have a touch for the ladies, but I never really dated much in high school. I heard about the virus but it never really bothered me. It wasn’t like people were dying or anything it was just really odd because over time I noticed that I work around a lot more women than men. I guess this virus only affected guys by making them sterile. I remember getting tested every year and coming up negative for the virus so naturally people saw me differently. When I got vaccinated I was the only guy on the floor of my office building. They tried to segregate the healthy from the sick and I guess it worked.

I got a letter in the mail from the government one day asking me to join their program of repopulating the earth. I scoffed at the letter thinking “OK so I get to jack off in a test tube all day and get shit pay for it, no thank you.” I was about to throw away the letter until I saw the six figure signing bonus. It was very tempting and I convinced myself “Sure why the hell not?” I filled out the paperwork enclosed in the letter and grabbed my test results and vaccination record and headed out the door.

I went to this office downtown ready to get my big bonus. I walk in and see the receptionist as she greets me warmly.

“Ah you must be Jon, Please come in and have a seat and someone will be right down.”

She ushers me to the seats against the wall as I walk gingerly over to a seat.
