Privateer – Chapter 1

The Privateer – Chapter 1

The spaceport of Kaelarion Prime buzzed with life, a sprawling metallic expanse of glowing platforms and bustling docks. Ships of every size and design soared in and out, leaving trails of neon blue exhaust against the glittering night skyline. Below, the city stretched endlessly, its skyscrapers pierced by pulsing transport tubes that ferried millions of citizens through the air like streams of light. The view alone was worth the exorbitant price of the luxury suite Kael had booked, perched high above the chaos like a king surveying his kingdom.

Inside the suite, every detail screamed opulence. The walls shimmered with a faint golden glow, imbued with the rare minerals mined from Kaelarion’s moons. A sprawling glass wall offered a panoramic view of the city below, while plush furniture and holographic art displays filled the space. The bed, enormous and draped in crimson silk, commanded the center of the room, its surface rumpled with the evidence of a night spent indulging in excess.

Kael leaned back against the headboard, bare-chested and exuding his usual swagger. His dark hair was tousled, his lips curling into a cocky smirk as he watched Lyra, sprawled beneath him, catching her breath. Her raven-black hair fanned out on the silk sheets, her skin flushed with exertion. She looked both stunning and utterly undone, and the sight only fed Kael’s ego.

“You can’t keep up, huh?” he teased, brushing a finger along her jawline as she shivered beneath his touch. “Didn’t think the great Lyra Valenn would ever beg.”

She glared up at him, though the fire in her eyes was softened by the way her body arched toward his, silently asking for more. “You’re insufferable,” she panted, her voice a mix of irritation and longing.

“And yet, here you are,” Kael murmured, leaning down to press his lips to her neck, biting just enough to leave a mark. Her sharp intake of breath was followed by a low moan, one that echoed off the high ceilings of the suite.

Lyra clawed at his back, her nails digging into his skin as he pinned her wrists above her head with ease. “Say it,” he demanded, his tone playful but commanding. “Say you want me.”

Her lips parted, her defiance wavering as his weight pressed her deeper into the silk. She hated giving him the satisfaction, but the way his touch ignited her senses made resistance futile. “Kael…” she whispered, her voice breaking. “I want you.”

His grin widened, triumphant. “That’s what I thought,” he said, his voice low and teasing. He moved against her with deliberate precision, savoring every gasp, every cry that slipped from her lips. Her screams filled the room, mingling with the hum of the distant city outside, a symphony of pleasure and power that underscored Kael’s charmed existence.

To Kael, moments like these were proof of his invincibility. Women like Lyra—a smuggler as dangerous as she was beautiful—weren’t meant to be conquered, yet here she was, falling apart beneath him. His life was a game, one he always seemed to win. Luck, skill, charm—it didn’t matter what people called it. Kael Durnan was untouchable.

Or so he thought.

Kael’s grip on Lyra’s hips tightened as he drove into her, each thrust deep and commanding, his strength pinning her effortlessly beneath him. Her cries echoed through the room, rising in pitch with every powerful stroke that sent her writhing against the silk sheets. Her fingers dug into the headboard, knuckles white, as her back arched high off the bed.

“Kael! Oh, fuck!” she screamed, her voice breaking into desperate gasps. “I’m so close! Don’t stop!”

Her words sent a jolt of satisfaction through him, a primal thrill that only fueled his pace. He smirked down at her, his chest heaving, sweat glistening on his skin as he watched her body tremble.
