GOING THE EXTRA MILE – NEGOTIATING IN HONG KONG

The first meeting was held in a lavish suite of a five-star hotel. Pascal the negotiator, a sixty-five year old French business man, spoke with a slight French accent as he introduced us to his P.A. Renee. with his hand on her ass. He told us Renee was French, bilingual, thirty-five and very talented. When someone introduces a new person to us, male or female and tells us they are talented, we always take special attention, hoping they might be referring to their sexual talents.

On the flight to Hong Kong we had discussed the negotiating challenges ahead of us. Reminding each other, the high-stakes business negotiations will challenge our wits, our confidence, and our capacity for clear reasoning under intense pressure. No result, no commission.

The more complex the negotiations the more we needed to research the issues (the real issues may not be the obvious ones) to create an advantage, and to anticipate and resolve obstacles, and think on our feet when decisions may need to be made quickly.

Before we left for Hong Kong some of our friends and business associates had told us a man with a French accent had been asking about us. Asking lots of business and personal questions. We were pleased at this knowledge, part of our negotiating tactics, to negotiate from a position of strength. We had also done our research on the man we would be negotiating with, learning he was reputed to be a rake and a kinky, sexual deviate.

As negotiators we are constantly testing new ideas, learning how to enhance our mental effectiveness, developing skills that translate into higher performance for ourselves and the organizations we represent to realize better outcomes and close stronger deals.

As a consequence Gillian and me are prepared to add sexual pleasure into the mix to secure a win-win outcome, after all business is business in the tough, rough and tumble commercial business world.

As our first meeting progressed we discussed a wide range of key performance indicators, terms of trade, payment options, currencies, delivery, brokerage, insurance, warranties, contra deals, tariffs, shipping, options, and myriad other details which Renee recorded on her laptop.

Gillian had been been flirting with Pascal and Renee as the negotiations progressed, crossing and recrossing her magnificent thighs for both of them.

That night Pascal organised a dinner for us in the hotel and arranged a limo to take us to a club afterwards. He met us at the club and introduced us to some of the entertainers in their dressing room. Wow! The best seats in the club and the entertainment was was incredibly sexually explicit and so exciting for us. Not to mention Pascal, confirming he was a sexual deviate without him saying a word..

On the second day as the meeting came to a close, Pascal invited us to dinner in the private dining room of his suite with himself and Renee. By then we were comfortable with each other, all of us developing a respect for each other’s negotiating skills. He had a gleam in his eye when he told me. “You are a very lucky man to have such an attractive lady. Your friends speak highly of you both.” Making it obvious he was aware of our sexual preferences.

When the meeting came to a close on the third day Pascal invited us to dinner in his private dining room again. By then we were very comfortable with each other, all of us developing a respect for each other’s negotiating skills.

“I have a feeling this could be a very exciting dinner.
