This is actually just a taste to see how people like the concept. I will either make an extended or more detailed version of this one or make a part 2.

Danny was a junior researcher for an organization that studied the strange and unnatural things in the world. Danny was assigned to help study a rift in the world located in a cave in the Midwest United States. The rift led to different worlds, but which world someone was sent to was random chance. One was a world that looked very steampunk. Another was one where aliens had visited earth long ago and advanced human technology. Still another was one where humans had more canine features than ape features.

Danny taking measurements near the portal one night when something happened. It might have been an earthquake or the portal itself caused the shaking or someone among the team had screwed something up. Whatever it was, it caused Danny to fall through the portal. Unfortunately, whatever caused the shaking also caused the portal to close before Danny could come back through. He was stuck in a new strange world that he didn’t know.

A strange feeling washed over Danny as the first few hours past. He was waiting for the portal to reopen, when he got this feeling like he knew what this world was. He knew what was different about it from his world. It was like his brain was trying to fill in the gaps in his knowledge with information to help him adjust to the new world. He had to find out if it was true. If it was true, he might want to explore this world a bit before returning. He left the cave where the portal was and hopefully where it would reappear. In his world the cave had been fenced in and a command center for the study of the portal had been built nearby. This world didn’t have that but the cave and surrounding landscape were the same as his world. Danny hiked three miles to the town which existed in both worlds. He got the feeling that the lands, population centers, and location names were the same as his world. That was not what made the world he came to different.

In this world humanity was more open about sex and sexual taboos. In this world, it is expected that when leaving their teens young adults lose their innocence and begin maturity. After losing innocence, people become openly active with sex. They will have sex with people close to them, or with mentors, or even with total strangers. Sex is also more freely given by both women and men.

Danny could see the truth of that after wandering in Small Town, America for only a half hour.
