“Close your eyes and open your mouth” Part 1_(1)

I looked around, not knowing where I was or how I got there. It was the dead of night, and I was in some kind of forest. Every tree was dead, and there was a haunting chill in the air. I looked all around, seeing nothing but dead trees and darkness. So I just started walking. The ground was covered with dead leaves and every step I took made a loud crunching sound. I walked for several minutes, then I heard the same noise behind me. I stopped and the noise continued for about a second and stopped. I slowly turned my head, but there was no one there. So I continued. The footsteps behind me resumed. I picked up my pace, until I eventually started running. My heart was pounding in my chest. Then whatever was following me starting making this horrible cackling. I was running as fast as I could, trying my best to avoid the trees. I ran through a pile of leaves, which were concealing some heavy object on the ground. I tripped and fell face first onto the ground. It was all over…

I woke up from that nightmare, sweat pouring down my face.
“Holy shit, that was intense,” I mumbled to myself. It was like I was really there.
I looked at my phone. 6 am. Any other day I would be getting ready for class, but today was the first day of summer vacation. I’ll go back to bed, but I’ll take a piss first. I got up out of bed, and walked across the hall to my bathroom.
After relieving myself, I started to walk back to my room. I heard voices downstairs. Probably my mom and sister. Mom had to work today, but why was Christy up now? She’s starting vacation today too. I couldn’t quite make out what they were saying. I went back into my room, fell into my bed and passed out.

I woke up again four hours later. No nightmares. I got out of bed and went downstairs. Christy was watching TV in the living room.
“Good morning bro!,” Christy said with a smile.
“Morning sis,” I said.
“There’s still some pizza left from last night,” she said.
I grabbed a couple slices and got a soda from the fridge, and sat next to Christy.
“What are we watching?,” I asked.
“Nothing good on,” she said. “What do you want to watch?”
“Well I just bought Hellsing Ultimate the other day…”
“Sweet!,” she exclaimed. “Let’s watch that.”
My sis was awesome. She loved anime and video games, liked good music, and generally was a really cool girl. But somehow she’s never had a boyfriend.
